I want to welcome you to our new Company Blog, "A blog about our thoughts on aviation, business, teamwork, our services, the web and all things interesting." We've left it wide open for all sorts of posts, however, we're starting this blog for 2 primary reasons:
- To Connect. We want to engage our Flight Schedule Pro Audience to learn from them and add value to them.
- To build Content. Search engines are hungry and like to consume new and relevant content. We're gonna feed them so they'll like us.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is vital for today's businesses. The landscape of business is continuing to change because of the Internet. Content is king to search engines and this blog will make it easy for us to create new content on a regular basis and add it to our website. As search engines find more of our content, they'll direct more visitors to our website. As more good traffic comes to our website, we'll capture more leads!
Over the last 10 years we've learned a lot here about the web, software, Internet marketing and how to run a business. We'd like to share our thoughts and ideas with you in hopes that it will add value to your business and life. We have some very sharp and creative people that use Flight Schedule Pro and if that's you we want to hear from you. So, speak up!
This blog will take on new form as we learn more and roll it out - your feedback and comments are greatly appreciated. We're looking forward to it.

Is this going to be a "Forum" or "Message Board" type of thing? Where can we go to see it?

Kevin, this will be a blog format where posts are made on many different topics and visitors can comment on posts. We'll be inviting different people to post to the board to share on different topics. So, it's a little different than a forum.

Are here any plans to add Outlook calendar attachments (i.e. VCS files) to the email notifications? How about adding a "Mechanic" role to the logins? Kudos for the latest features added, specially the cellphone login and the new browser activity session management.

Mr. Cortes, right now you can download outlook attachments while logged in but they are not attached to emails, although that is a good feature request. As for the mechanic role, the administrator on your account can create any custom role they want, so they could easily create one for mechanics. Thanks for the comment

As a side note, comments on a blog entry should be directly related to the topic of that blog entry. If you are wanting to make general feature requests or comments not related to a specific blog entry please submit it to feedback dept. at http://flightschedulepro.helpserve.com/index.php?_m=tickets&_a=submit
For example, in the future we may post a blog entry about a feature we are working on. We want to hear your comments and thoughts about that feature. In that case, the goal of the blog entry is to solicit specific conversation in order to create a better feature for you.
Hopefully this clarifies how this blog should be used

Was wondering if anyone else would like to see more pull down selections for squawk resolutions, or selections that have more meaning - such as "problem verified - parts on order"??

Are there plans to remember the aircraft you normally schedule so you dont have to select from the drop down list each time?

One of the things I would like to see changed is in the aircraft checked out option in the member pilot record. When you add an aircraft to be checked out in and it asks "approved by" that drop down list shows all the members in our system by name, I would think it should only list the Instructors to choose from
